Brenda McDaniel, owner of All About Floors, has been in the retail floor covering business in Lake Wales since 1997. McDaniel and her daughter-in-law, Courtney Steedley, operate this business together, making it a family run business. They moved into their new location in the South Scenic Building across from the Lake Wales Museum and Cultural Center on Scenic Hwy in August of 2006. The business was formerly located at 114 State Road 60 West in Lake Wales.

McDaniel worked for State Farm Insurance, but her husband of 28 years had worked in the business of installing all kinds of floor covering for 40 years. Her heart was really always wanting to be working with him in this endeavor, so she left State Farm to run the showroom and office part of the business.

All About Floors is a complete flooring store with a showroom of samples of all kinds of wood, carpet and a large selection of laminate. There are ceramic and porcelain tiles for flooring and walls. Many top brands are featured such as Mohawk, Bruce Wood, Alloc Laminate and Tarkett Laminate. They install decorative bathrooms and have a selection of decorative bathroom wall and floor tiles. Their customer base is mostly homeowners remodeling or adding new construction to their homes. They also provide flooring to commercial properties as well.

A convenience offered by All About Floors is the personal attention one can get when they come to the house with samples in tow. One can match existing wall colors, draperies and furniture with the newly proposed carpet or tile to be selected in the lighting of their own home setting. Often showroom lighting alters a color’s appearance and when you get it installed in your home, it can have a different look. This service also helps seniors with mobility concerns and they can have the enjoyment of picking out the new colors they want without having to go to town and visit the showroom. But if you do go into the showroom you will be amazed at all the many samples of floor covering products that are there.
