08 /15/05 - Well, We Are! www.inPolk.com is a new online directory of businesses in Polk County. We are a geographic website. What you'll find on our site, you'll find in Polk.

How's that different from search engine results? Let's say your using a search engine to find "restaurants in Polk county".... your search will result in a list of restaurants in Polk County, Florida.... and Polk County, Iowa and Polk County, Oregon and Polk County, North Carolina and Tennessee and Wisconsin... and I could go on with a list of irrelevant findings. Here at www.inPolk.com, you'll just get restaurants in our county (now it is going to take us some time to get all businesses listed, but we're working hard on getting the word out).

If you own a business you can list your business for free and include a 15 word description. In addition to your 15 words, you can add a link to your website, your city and phone number.
